MEET OUR STAFF

David Schriemer, MD
Dr. Schriemer is a native of West Michigan and completed his undergraduate education at Hope College, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He received his medical degree from the University Of Michigan Medical School with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He then completed a residency in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Virginia where he was chief resident. Dr. Schriemer came to Vicksburg in 1989. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and sees all members of the family from infants to adults. He has had additional training and certification in BoTox cosmetics and Light based skin therapy.  Dr. Schriemer's wife Paula is an anesthesiologist in Kalamazoo. The Schriemers have three children, Daniel, Clara and Anna.

 

Ken Franklin, MD
Dr. Franklin came to FDV in 2002 following a 25-year career in Family Medicine in the U.S. Army. Dr. Franklin is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Michigan State University and received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine, having completed a residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Franklin held patient care and leadership roles at Army hospitals around the country. He is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm, and has earned numerous awards including the Bronze Star. Dr. Franklin is board certified in Family Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has had additional training and certification in Light based skin therapy. He treats children and adults of all ages. He has two sons, Matt and Jeremy.

 

Karl Kerchief, MD
Dr. Kerchief joined FDV following his retirement from the United States Army, where he served for 30 years and attained the rank of Colonel in the Army Medical Corps. Dr. Kerchief received his Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and his Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his family medicine residency at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Ft. Gordon, GA. Dr. Kerchief also holds Master’s Degrees in Biological Sciences and Health Care Administration, is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is a Fellow in both the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Healthcare Executives. A graduate of the U. S. Army’s Command & General Staff College and Army War College, Dr. Kerchief has published numerous articles in medical journals and been a featured presenter at military medical conferences. He is joined by his wife Margaret; he has 4 grown children (John, Jamie, Margaret Ann and Kathy).

 

Kathryn Grossman, MD
Dr. Grossman is a native of Vicksburg, Michigan and completed her undergraduate education at Western Michigan University and Lee Honors College, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She did an additional year there as Chief Resident for the Internal Medicine Department. Dr. Grossman moved back to the Vicksburg area in 2006. She spent a few years practicing as a hospitalist, then later in a local outpatient practice. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, specializing in the care of adult patients. Dr. Grossman's husband is an attorney, who also practices in Vicksburg. The Grossmans have two daughters, Sadie and Maya.

 

Darla Hulse, RN
Darla graduated from Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac, Michigan in 1987.  She worked most of her nursing career at Munising Memorial Hospital in Munising, Michigan before moving to Vicksburg in 1995. She has been at Family Doctors of Vicksburg working both as an office nurse and office manager until September of 2006 when she began providing Skin Health services. Darla received over 100 hours of web training and 70 hours of hands on training prior to providing Laser and skin care services at Family Doctors of Vicksburg Laser Skin Care. Since September of 2006 she has been providing IPL/laser skin treatments 5 days a week. She has had extensive training and experience with skin assessment and treatments including chemical peels, IPL, laser and state of the art skin care products, and continues to learn as technology and skin care advances. She is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and an Affiliate of the Skin Cancer Foundation. She offers skin health services to all ages. Her husband Casey is a native of Michigan and is a reptile breeder and incubator manufacturer. They have 3 children, Rianna, Robert and Jessica.

       We are conveniently located in downtown Vicksburg (click HERE for a map and directions). Family Doctors of Vicksburg Laser Skin Care is only a small part of our services. We offer all other aspects of medical care including Physicals for all stages of life, minor surgery, sick visits, immunizations, well baby and more.  Although the Laser Skin Care Center is located inside of our medical office it has its own “Serenity” room and treatment room designed specifically for our skin care services.  Sit back and relax to the sounds of nature, sample our products and read about the latest advancements in skin care.

What is a Demo Night?

The purpose of our demo nights is to acquaint you and your friends with our services and products, remove the apprehension of "what does it feel like, look like and cost" in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. You and your guests can choose from a number of different procedures to have done, no strings attached. We want you to be able to measure your results and compare them to your normal. For this reason we offer "half" a procedure at no charge. This way you can compare your treated side to your untreated side. Of course, you can choose to have a full procedure done at 50% off the regular price. You can also have Botox and Juvederm at a reduced price. You do not have to have a treatment done to attend a demo night.

 

How does it work?

Demo's are done on Wednesday evenings at 5:30. To schedule a demo just call our scheduling department at 269-649-2012 option 4 and tell them you want to schedule a demo. You invite 4-10 of your friends, family, co-workers etc and tell them to be ready for an evening of fun and gifts. Your demo night is yours alone. The only people present will be those you invite. And best of all, as the hostess you get your IPL or Laser procedure done at no charge!

 

What's the catch?

There is no catch. No high pressure sales, no pressure to schedule a follow up appt. Just a relaxing evening of learning about what our office has to offer and getting all of your questions answered. No follow up phone calls, no annoying letters, just a night of fun. But we know you will want to come back, so we give each person a $25 coupon to use towards any future services. If you don't want it or can't use it you can give it to a friend. You will also get samples of our most popular products.
